Hey folks, Harry here... long gestating news here. Clive Owen has been in discussions to star as SHOOT-EM-UP's Mr. Smith since around the time of SIN CITY's release, but only just now is it being announced. You're familiar with this project, I'm sure... I wrote about the amazing video proof oc concept animation piece here and then we ran an interview with the director Michael Davis here!

Now, what this news means for all of us fans is that Clive has a major action vehicle to totally let loose in. A raging R-rated bullet-riddled bit of mad mayhem. The sort of thing he'd never get to do had he signed on to do James Bond as so many fans wanted. Here he kills hard and fucks hard. This thing has the potential to just amaze. And personally, getting Clive is a major coup! Starts filming in January of 2006 - not sure if Clive will shoot his part in SIN CITY 2 before or after that... Hell, knowing Robert - he probably already has.
