A remake of HARD BOILED? Starring Chow Yun Fat again!? Directed by Johnny To!?!?

Ahoy, squirts! Quint here with a weird bit of news that hit today. Apparently, Chow Yun Fat will star in the remake of HARD BOILED, the movie that made him a star to most Western audiences... and John Woo a star. Woo turned down the remake, but it looks like Johnny To (FULLTIME KILLER) has stepped up to shoot it. Read TwitchFilm's piece for more info!

There's a part of me that is extremely curious about this, seeing Fat in one of his best roles again... But so much of the original's greatness was lightning captured by John Woo at his best. Can that be replicated without looking like a carbon copy? To's got a lot of work ahead of him, but count me cautiously curious.
