The picture should be on screens by August 2011 - almost exactly one year after the release of Alexandre Aja's progenitor film. An ambitious aspiration, even for a title such as this.
No word on if any survivors of the the first film's cast will be returning, or if Jerry O'Connell's regurgitated penis might make some sort of appearance (I think they should have it wash up on shore, where it's picked up by a happy Golden Retriever who carries it home as a gift to the children in his family).
