Hey folks, Harry here... Variety is reporting that Benicio Del Toro is in talks to star in Shane Black's THE PREDATOR. And the crowd goes wild! There's nothing but a whole lot of FUCK YES to report about this news. If you haven't checked out THE NICE GUYS by Shane Black yet, you're missing one of the absolute best films of the year thus far. The only bad news about this for me, is that it means I'll probably have to wait a bit longer for Shane Black's DOC SAVAGE which needs to be in theaters immediately... but same with this THE PREDATOR project. It'll be fascinating to see what THE PREDATOR will shape up like casting wise.
With Benicio being the first name on the table... You're instantly in a different realm from Arnold & Danny Glover. Casting around Benicio has been a major delight for so many films prior to this. But I say they just cast the usual suspects around him - only instead of Keyser Soze, it's THE PREDATOR. I'll admit it - that would be so much happy. I mean, with the weather men & women telling us, it's the hottest year ever - PREDATORS must be everywhere.
Man, this is a script I'd just about kill to read. A Benicio Del Toro PREDATOR film. That's just so much YES!
