I love how Chewbacca, who only has the use of one arm, quite sensibly uses his foot to hold most of Unkar in place during the dismemberment.
Don’t remember Unkar tracking Rey down to Maz’ planet?
It turns out there was this whole other version of “The Force Awakens” in which Rey’s old boss Unkar Plutt tracks Rey down to Maz’ planet and makes a big fuss.
(In the final version of the film, Rey seems to know a whole lot about Unkar and how Unkar modified the Falcon, suggesting that Unkar might have served as Rey’s supershitty foster father before their relationship turned to one of pure commerce.)
The 3D Blu-ray containing the deleted scene and a new Abrams commentary is on shelves now.
