Yesterday 20th Century Fox release a trailer and poster for the hopefully, thrilling science fiction film "The Darkest Minds" which is based on the novels by best-selling author Alexandra Bracken. Taking the directors chair on this project is Jennifer Yuh Nelson who directed several episodes of the late 90's "Spawn" animated television series as well as directing "Kung Fu Panda" 2 & 3. Tackling the screenplay based on Bracken's books is Chad Hodge. Hodge has quite a history working on television series such as "Wayward Pines," "The Playboy Club," and "The Reality of Love."

"The Darkest Minds" stars Mandy Moore ("Saved" and "Southland Tales"), Gwendoline Christie (Captain Phasma from "Star Wars: The Force Awakens," "The Last Jedi" and of course her work on "Game of Thrones"), and Amandla Stenberg ("Colombiana" and "The Hunger Games"). "The Darkest Minds" is set to hit Theaters on August 3rd of this year. I personally was not floored by this trailer, feels like it kind of was made for the CW. I hope I am wrong I will have to wait and see. What do you all think of this project?
