Morning, geeks.
Looks like we have another actor confirmed for the new movie, VENOM. That's one more piece of information we can put together to speculate just what that movie will exactly be! Woody Harrelson has been revealed to be taking on the part of Cletus Kasady, Carnage, in the upcoming film!
The character Cletus Kasady is a serial killer who also acquired a symbiote costume, like Venom, making for an even more dangerous alien costumed villain. If Carnage in the new film, does that mean that we may see Toxin or Klyntar?
More importantly...is freaking SPIDER-MAN in the movie? Many speculate that we will see Tom Holland as Spider-Man/Peter Parker in the new film, because well...that would be completely deviating from the comics if he is not. Eddie Brock is supposed to find Parker’s discarded symbiote costume before becoming Venom. Tom Hardy looks like he is going to pull of the role, great! Now let's just hope that the movie itself doesn’t stink.
Venom apparently has had a difficult production history. Supposedly a Venom film was planned as far back as Spider-Man 3, when Tobey Maguire was still Spider-Man! I think we can all agree that nobody wants a Maguire Spider-Man anymore, nor a Topher Grace Venom. Though, I will admit that I was happy for Topher Grace for landing a decent role after the end of THAT 70’S SHOW, but he was an absolutely terrible choice for that part.
