The official STAR WARS YouTube channel just dropped a new promotional featurette on SOLO: A STAR WARS STORY. It features little Opie Cunningham himself, Ron Howard (WILLOW), and writer Lawrence Kasdan (THE BIG CHILL) plus various cast members talking about the film.
What they are saying is all pretty standard promotional stuff but what is really interesting here are the glimpses of new footage on display. I have to admit, I honestly like what I see here. The dusty 'space western' vibe is working for me. It looks like a good time. Let's check out the clip:
Alden Ehrenreich (HAIL, CAESAR!) is starting to grow on me as the new Han Solo. I find myself being less precious about this franchise as more films get released from by our new MOUSE HOUSE overlords. At this point, all I want is just fun space adventures... oh and definitely more Donald Glover (MYSTERY TEAM) as young Lando Calrissian.
