Really? Because his last movie, the "old school american horror" was anything but. It was silly, stupid, unfunny, unscary splatter.

Agree completely with Massawyrm here. Saw it at the Edinburgh Dead by Dawn festival and it was definitely my favourite film of the week. Only film that really spooked me out at all. Very claustrophobic film in the same way Silent Running was. Jesus that film scared me as a kid.
