and it could star lots of pretty ladies.
I thought "Trasgredire" was very Manara-esque.

It had the playfulness, it was set in a world that looked like ours but nicer, and in which everything is overflowing with sexuality all the time, not to mention the film's highly gratifying focus on the female derriere.

...I'd love to see some Milo Manara adaptations. His work was a fantastic resource through out my pre-internet pubesence. I'd love to see another of Moebius' Metal Hurlant co-workers get brought to the big screen; Liberatore. God doesn't exsist, otherwise Chris Cunningham really would have made Ranxerox.
THIS WAS ON BBC4 ON SUNDAY NIGHT!

..in the UK. or at least a doc with interviews with Lee, Geiger, O'Bannon etc and a score by Karl Bartos was. But it was called 'In Search of Moebius' or something, and was only an hour long. how long was this?

the most magical comic artist of them all. when is his movie "through the moebius strip" coming out?
Why no mention of the BBC?

Is this the same thing? Good as the Moebius documentary was, the BBC Steve Ditko one in their "Comics Britannia" strain was better.

it MUST be the same doc - bartos soundtrack, giger interviews etc. I just wondered if the BBC version was an edit, as was only 50 mins. Plus i remember thinking there was a distinct lack of actual artwork shown - possibly some licensing issue...?
the Black Incal would make a great film...done right.

when I mention Moebius to other comic geeks they'll stop giving me that one raised eyebrow and a "what the fuck" glance. He is a true genius and I hope this means more people will realize it.

The designs are awesome , but I don't think fx were at a stage at the time to bring them convincingly to the screen.Now it's possible to do it all justice .Plus the costumes are so elaborate and strange , that translating them into the real world could be a problem ..it would have to be done veeery carefully to avoid it looking like a gay carnival Just look at fith Element or even the recent sci fi channel dune to see how tricky adapting moebius stylings to actual clothes can be { I know he didnt do the tv Dune , but you could see an influence}
