the movement is too smooth (compare it to the new ASIMO), the color temperature of the light isn't right, and the video grain doesn't quite match, and the reflections in his eyes are pretty fake looking. That's my initial impression. If it is real, then that's awesome robotics- but I really believe this is a fake.

I just saw the shadow of the guy move across his body, and that's pretty tough to do. Also, the vibration of his head when he shrugs indicates mass and movement, so I am more inclined to believe this is real. It's still too smooth!

Free-roaming audio animatronic robots, The Wall E seen in this video, as well as its predecessors the Muppet Mobile lab (a free-balanced contraption with muppet scientist Benson Honeydew and his squeaky lab assistant Beaker riding it) and Lucky the Dinosaur, are attractions in themselves, stunning guests with their realism and fluidity. (I actually wrote that, not a Disney parks brochure--but if the Disney people are reading this, I'd be happy to write their next brochure). They roam the Disney parks, usually Disney's California Adventure in Anaheim, Disney's Hollywood Studios in Orlando, and now Hong Kong Disneyland, and are controlled remotely, allowing them to interact with guests and situations. Pixar did not ruin Disney, they saved Disney, and ALL of their movies so far have a consistent quality that is unmatched in their field, and unmatched by most Hollywood fare animated or not.
