the movement is too smooth (compare it to the new ASIMO), the color temperature of the light isn't right, and the video grain doesn't quite match, and the reflections in his eyes are pretty fake looking. That's my initial impression. If it is real, then that's awesome robotics- but I really believe this is a fake.

With all the bad press you guys are getting in the international arena regarding Iraq and the total collapse of the global money markets, it's easy to forget things like this. Like 'Wall-E' and the magic that Hollywood in general, when firing on all cylinders, can bring to the world.

I live in London. It's a 'multicultural' toilet, but seeing the look on my five year old daughter's face as she watched the 'Wall-E' trailer was priceless and for that, America, I thank you.

This is part of Disney's 'living character' initiative. Free-roaming audio animatronic robots, The Wall E seen in this video, as well as its predecessors the Muppet Mobile lab (a free-balanced contraption with muppet scientist Benson Honeydew and his squeaky lab assistant Beaker riding it) and Lucky the Dinosaur, are attractions in themselves, stunning guests with their realism and fluidity. (I actually wrote that, not a Disney parks brochure--but if the Disney people are reading this, I'd be happy to write their next brochure). They roam the Disney parks, usually Disney's California Adventure in Anaheim, Disney's Hollywood Studios in Orlando, and now Hong Kong Disneyland, and are controlled remotely, allowing them to interact with guests and situations. This is NOT CG.

Well ok, not pedophiles but definately dried up husks of joylessness.

Pixar did not ruin Disney, they saved Disney, and ALL of their movies so far have a consistent quality that is unmatched in their field, and unmatched by most Hollywood fare animated or not.

Gotta love the AICN bad-asses who will down cry something because it's cute or kiddie. Fact is Pixar films handle their chosen themes in far more mature a manner than Action Spunkfest 47 or Generic Romantic Comedy ever could. These are the same people who dismiss Mario games as "for kids" while playing stuff that only teenagers actually find cool. Dick heads.
