It's fascinaing to have a full on BBC Production of HG Wells' classic WAR OF THE WORLDS coming out with full on Tripods and everything! I doubt any adaptation will ever triumph over the George Pal version, or event the 9/11 Spielberg influenced version with Tom Cruise. Here, they're doing a period appropriate adaptation and this first trailer gives us a solid peak at what is to be expected!
