Names that have been announced as voice cast for this Netflix animation are Michael Douglas, Adam DeVine, Diane Keaton, Ilana Glazer, Eddie Izzard, Tracy Morgan, Keegan-Michael Key, Daveed Diggs, John Turturro, Jeffrey Wright, and Jillian Bell.
Obviously based on the Dr. Seuss book, the cartoon follows odd couple Guy and Sam as they venture out on a road trip to save an endangered animal from a distant zoo. Along the way they learn to try new things like/educate your kids in hope and friendship. Green Eggs and Ham appears to be both a dish and a metaphor in this show.
Executive producing the series is Ellen DeGeneres. This project has been three years in the making and is rumored to be one of the “most expensive animated programs produced for television”. Huh, we’ll see about that. It looks like traditional animation, that in itself is now considered too expensive for most shows these days. The series premieres this Fall.
