Unlike the wait fans had between STRANGER THINGS season one and season two getting picked up, Netflix will be wasting no more time while moving forward with the third season. STRANGER THINGS 3 was officially announced on Twitter Friday morning.
“Stranger Things 2”, which followed the sleeper hit the first series debuted this past October. The tormented town of Hawkins is still recovering from the horrors of Hawkins Labs and the Demogorgon that was unleashed. Will the town be able to stand against the growing menace? We shall see it streaming soon enough.
STRANGER THINGS was created by The Duffer Brothers, the two also serve as executive producers and directors along with directors Shawn Levy, Dan Cohen and Iain Patterson. The series stars Winona Ryder as Joyce Byers, David Harbour as Chief Jim Hopper, Noah Schnapp as Will Byers, Finn Wolfhard as Mike Wheeler, Millie Bobby Brown as Eleven, Gaten Matarazzo as Dustin Henderson, Caleb McLaughlin as Lucas Sinclair, Cara Buono as Karen Wheeler, Natalia Dyer as Nancy Wheeler, Charlie Heaton as Jonathan Byers, Joe Keery as Steve Harrington, Dacre Montgomery as Billy, and Sadie Sink as Max, and more. Not to mention I hope there will be a new special guest like Sean Astin last season.
So far the series has received 18 Emmy nominations this year, winning five times. Also, STRANGER THINGS won Outstanding Performance by the 2017 SAG Award, The show garnishes more awards and will no doubt continue to do so. Thank you for joining me until next time-
