Animation geekette here, bringing you a fudging awesome new trailer for “Batman Ninja”!
This one is much longer the first one we dropped, and actually has subtitles this time! We get a better look at what the action will be like, not as clunky as I originally thought with the CGI. I’m so excited that cell-shaded CGI is getting better with time, though I was still pretty hung up on the traditional animation we see at the beginning of the trailer.
Did you catch feudal lord Grodd in there? He was probably one of the last villains I would expect to see in there, I’m not sure how to feel about that. I know Grodd has some serious fans, but a gorilla dressed up as a Japanese feudal lord, it’s kind of funny. We also get a hint of Two-Face and Penguin in there!
I know some of you are butthurt that there’s been a million interpretations of Batman as of late, but I don’t think I’ll ever get tired of it! Someone suggested a claymation Batman in the talkbacks a few days back, and I would love to see a short of that. Particularly with Batman fighting Clayface. Or a live-action Batman fighting a claymation Clayface like a Sinbad monster!
