Precious Roy here with yet another tease for the Black Panther! This spot seems to include a little new footage, including our first glimpse of Forrest Whittaker. The clip begins with a sense of infectious, mad fun as Martin Freeman’s Everett Ross sits down to interrogate Andy Serkis’ Klaw with T’Challa watching through the two-way mirror, and begins to cross-cut.
As with the other spots, this one banks heavily on that car chase. I’m actually okay with that-- I don’t want to see a lot of this film spoiled in the trailers; I’m in. But there’s a new rush-to-battle scene that evokes the hype and excitement of that AVENGERS: INFINITY WAR battle charge, and yeah, this film needs to get here soon.
I’m also very pleased with the slight change in music; the mantra of ‘we own you’ was starting to lose flavor. BLACK PANTHER hits theaters all over the U.S. on February 16th 2018. That’s 39 days, SUCKERS!
