Today the good folks at Paramount Pictures released a new featurette for the upcoming Sci-Fi film "ANNIHILATION." The new featurette
sheds some light on what exactly is going on in the "Shimmer." Heres the tidbit of goodness, read on for more!
The synopsis provided to us via the Paramount people-
"Lena, a biologist, and former soldier joins a mission to uncover what happened to her husband inside Area X - a sinister and mysterious phenomenon that is expanding across the American coastline. Once inside, the expedition discovers a world of mutated landscape and creatures, as dangerous as it is beautiful, that threatens both their lives and their sanity."
Writer and director Alex Garland ("Ex Machina," "28 Days Later") is weaving a shimmering web based on the acclaimed best-selling books titled Southern Reach Trilogy by Jeff VanderMeer. Annihilation stars Natalie Portman ("The Professional"), Oscar Isaac (Poe Dameron from "Star Wars: The Force Awakens"), Jennifer Jason Leigh ("The Hateful Eight"), Tessa Thompson ("THOR: RAGNAROK"), Gina Rodriguez ("Jane the Virgin") and Tuva Novotny ("EAT PRAY LOVE").
