Is Sam Raimi taking on "THE KINGKILLER CHRONICLE"?

Hola Dannie aqui,

Director Sam Raimi is back in the headlines at Variety.com yesterday, with rumors of his next project, "THE KINGKILLER CHRONICLES." Lionsgate has yet to confirm or deny the rumor that Raimi is considering Kingkiller as his next project. Lionsgate has been trying to get this project based on the best selling trilogy of books by Pat Rothfuss off the ground since 2016.

In 2016 Lionsgate signed on the aide of Lin-Manuel Miranda the actor, creator, and all around musical mastermind behind the Broadway hit "HAMILTON." Miranda was signed on as a creative producer and musical advisor for the feature film, any future stage productions and the television series which Showtime is currently developing based on Rothfuss' magical metafictional series of literary wonder.

"THE KINGKILLER CHRONICLE" screenplay is being entrusted to writer Lindsey Beer, Variety reported that she was a writer on “Transformers: The Last Knight” however she is not credited on IMDB. Ms. Beer currently has 10 projects listed on IMDB including "THE KINGKILLER CHRONICLE." Some of the films on her desk currently are "Godzilla vs Kong," "Barbie," "Dungeons and Dragons," "M.A.S.K.: Mobile Armored Strike Kommand" and "Short Circuit." So Lindsey is going to be a busy lady for the foreseeable future, and is basing her screenplay for Kingkiller on the first book of the series "The Name of the Wind."

"THE KINGKILLER CHRONICLES" follows the travels, trials, and tribulations of its main character Kvothe, a young man who becomes an infamous Bardish Wizard due to his adventures through tragedy, trauma, music, and magic. I have yet to read this trilogy and if Raimi and Miranda are interested enough to jump on it I am too! Plus Kvothe is a redhead so Yay! Ginger love! Also, it has been far too long since we had some Raimi goodness on the big screen!

Stay Strong, Live Good, Love Movies!
