Hey folks, Precious Roy here with a bit of news: Universal Studios has tapped Michelle MacLaren to direct COWBOY VIKING NINJA, with Chris Pratt attached to star.
COWBOY NINJA VIKING is based on an Image Comic written by A.J. Lieberman and drawn by Riley Rossmo, about multiple personality disorder patients used by a spy organization as ‘Triplets’—based on three personality aspects they have. When a number of the agents decide to go into business for themselves, the big gun Cowboy-Ninja-Viking is sent in to deal with the situation.
MacLaren is a seasoned producer/director in television and was originally slotted to direct WONDER WOMAN before she departed over creative differences. She directed one of the best WESTWORLD episodes, “The Well-Tempered Clavier”, in addition to a long line of Breaking Bad episodes (which she also produced 42 episodes of), and directed four episodes of GAME OF THRONES. She’s directing the period-piece drama THE NIGHTINGALE, also releasing in 2019.
