Hello all, Mad Dashiell here and thanks for joining me this dark cloudy day and now the weather- Following a teaser back in January, Netflix has revealed the forecast for THE RAIN this afternoon. The trailer for the new Danish drama is here so I hope you have your ponchos and galoshes handy because traditionally, Danish thriller-horror genre of this nature can form a perfect storm.
THE RAIN falls upon an obviously bleak post-apocalyptic future. The story follows two teens that came out from a safely sealed bunker to face a virus that has decimated the region’s population. Things quickly start to get worse as their surroundings have not even begun to recover from recent catastrophic events, and two teenagers are quickly forced to join up with a group of survivors in the hopes of finding food, shelter, and protection from THE RAIN. The thriller stars Alba August(JORDSKOTT), Lucas Lynggaard Tønnesen(TIDSREJSEN), Mikkel Boe Følsgaard(LAND OF MINE), and Iben Hjejle(HIGH FIDELITY).
