Q.T.'s in talks with Burt Reynolds for "ONCE UPON A TIME IN HOLLYWOOD"!

Hola Dannie aqui,

Today it was announced that bad ass director Quentin Tarantino is in talks with Burt Reynolds to play the part of George Spahn in his new film "Once Upon A Time In Hollywood." I am delighted to hear this news and have always enjoyed Q.T.'s use of beloved stars from cinemas past. Burt Reynolds' is a charismatic giant. His contribution to pop culture is massive, having performed in over 188 projects starting way back in 1958 according to the mighty IMDB.

George Spahn was the elderly owner of the Barker Ranch where Charles Manson and "family" lived during the summer of 1969, during the hay day of western cinema Spahn rented his ranch out to movie and television studios. Below I included a photo of Mr. Spahn.

"Once Upon A Time In Hollywood" revolves around the horrific murders committed by Charlies fucked up family. It was announced a while back that Leonardo DiCaprio and Brad Pitt will star as the former Western television star Rick Dalton and his stuntman Cliff Booth, Sharon Tates closest neighbors. Also joining the cast are Tim Roth, Kurt Russell, and Michael Madsen which is awesome to see working with Q.T. again.

If you are unfamiliar with Reynolds here are some of my personal favorites-

"FUZZ" from 1972

"DELIVERANCE" also from 1972 if you haven't seen it, prepare for a horrific treat

Woody Allens timeless "EVERYTHING YOU ALWAYS WANTED TO KNOW ABOUT SEX * BUT WERE AFRAID TO ASK" again from 1972, 72' was a good year for Burt

"WHITE LIGHTNING" from 1973

"THE LONGEST YARD" from 1974 and he was in the remake

Mel Brooks' "SILENT MOVIE" from 1976

"GATOR" from 1976

"SMOKY AND THE BANDIT" 1, 2, & 3

"HOOPER" from 1978 This is a must-see for all cinemaniacs!

"THE CANNONBALL RUN" 1 & 2

"THE BEST LITTLE WHOREHOUSE IN TEXAS"

"HEAT" from 1986

"ALL DOGS GO TO HEAVEN" from 1989

"STRIPTEASE" from 1996 (not really a film I even remotely like, but had to list for all you 80085 fans)

"BOOGIE NIGHTS" from 1997, man Burt shined in this one perfect balance of sleaze and charisma!

“Once Upon A Time In Hollywood” will be released by Sony Pictures on August 9, 2019, the 50th anniversary of the Tate massacre, that's pretty fucked up. I am very excited about this project, and am dying in anticipation to see it! How about all of you? Excited? Meh? Let us know, and also what are your favorite Reynolds flicks?

Stay Strong, Live Good, Love Movies!
