“Dream bigger next time.” Tonight’s installment of “Billions” leaves behind Black Jack Doyle and Charles Rhoades Sr. and even Lara Axelrod -- and begins with the brutal death of a very cute mammal, a metaphor perhaps for that fellow who killed a guard in self-defense. One of the world’s most famous character actors shows up 12 minutes in. Also, former prosecutor Lonnie Watley and his sizeable Afro return for the first time since 2017.
Showtime says of tonight’s excellent “Icebreaker”:
Axe makes a bold play to secure capital from a controversial source. Taylor chafes against Axe’s recent moves. Chuck recruits the allies he needs to move forward with a new plan. Connerty seeks out a career opportunity.
Last week’s “Fear The Walking Dead,” featuring an epic flashback centering on the Garrett Dillahunt and Jenna Elfman characters, was in my view the best episode in the spin-off’s long history. AMC says of “Just In Case”:

Last week's "Westworld" was the best of the season. Tonight's episode, which unwraps Shogun World, is not.
