With some greasy grimy and intriguing news coming from VARIETY
Paramount Players acquired the film rights to CREEPY CRAWLERS, which I had no idea existed until just now as I write this.
There’s not a lot of information on this yet but JAKKS Pacific sure has to be happy they swooped in to grab the rights from ToyMax about a decade ago.
CREEPY CRAWLERS was a toy brand. They basically taught you how to cook up slimy concoctions of your favorite “creepy crawlers” and most of them were edible. Creating another level of enjoyment from what was basically a male version of the easy bake oven.
I can’t lie and say I’m excited about this news. I can’t even imagine a good plotline. Oh, ok if you insist. How about the Creepy Crawlers factory is besieged by Russian bombers who blow up some nuclear waste on accident and viola we have a 2018 version of THEM!
I can’t wait!
Seriously, this could be a good time, once we know what the heck it’s all about!
