Morning, geeks.
As far as I’ve known, the next MEN IN BLACK installment was to be a spin-off, but That Hashtag Show seems to think it’s a reboot, and then a sequel, and then a reboot/sequel. I’m googling my butt off, and the terms seem to be used interchangeably amongst other articles about the movie around the web. Does anybody actually know what it is?
I’m going to keep on assuming it’s a spinoff because a reboot would be dumb. Liam Neeson has already been cast as the head of the UK MIB branch. Such a role did not exist in the previous MIB movies, so this is one more thing that leads me to believe it is indeed a spinoff. Also, Hemsworth is the new Will Smith as Agent H, the suave goofball. While Thompson plays an alien conspiracist, named Molly, focused on becoming and MIB agent.
This is definitely a spinoff, get the heck out of here!
Anywho, the third starring role has been put on the table for Kumail Nanjiani to join with Chris Hemsworth and Tessa Thompson. Nanjiani is to portray Pawny, “The third side kick. A funny, wise-cracking, sex-driven alien from a civilization that exists on a Chess board.” I could easily see him being a suave agent, but apparently they already gave that job to Hemsworth. Nanjiani has that kind of personality where he would be cast as something a bit more eccentric. I'll always think of him as ADVENTURE TIME'S Prismo, though.
