Britain’s Murdoch-owned Sun newspaper, which was first to reveal that Megan Fox would play Catwoman in “The Dark Knight Rises,” now says Ewan McGregor is “secretly” reprising the role of Obi-Wan Kenobi for J.J. Abrams’ “Episode IX,” due in cinemas next year.
Despite the Sun’s horrible track record, it could happen. Remember that McGregor already reprised Obi-Wan’s voice in Abrams’ “Episode VII.”
And Frank Oz brought back Jedi master Yoda for last year's "The Last Jedi" (which coincidentally hits Netflix at midnight Pacific Time tonight).
It’s also been rumored forever that an Obi-Wan Stars Wars Story is in development. Though Lucasfilm has yet to announce such a project, McGregor has long said he’d be into it.
