Uncork'd Entertainment has cast their message out into the sea of film viewers to see THE LIGHTHOUSE. No not next year's horror movie from the director of THE VVITCH! THE LIGHTHOUSE, the true-story drama from 2016. Will the film finally find its true audience as a bastion in the storm of film titles with similar names? Will the film's message survive being battered against the waves of select theaters starting July 6th? -One thing I can say I liked about this is that the film shows how much you can do with just two actors and a small set. This is a good film for maritime historians. The 'True' story is based on classic accounts of workers from the infamous Smalls Island Incident back in 1801 that went mad while their fates are trapped in the hands of a heavy tempest. It is a slow burn and I would venture to say if you have no interest in maritime history draped in tones of a supernatural thriller with a heavy helping of religious dogma, then it would be a good film to pop on if you wanted to go to sleep.
