Evening, geeks.
Now here’s an idea that would be a lot of fun, Christopher Lloyd with a role of on RICK AND MORTY. The subject came up during an interview with LLoyd with Pheonix New Times.
“I don't follow it closely, but I've seen a few episodes and I gotta tell you, I think it's a lot of fun. I know it's some kind of parody of Doc and Marty,” stated Lloyd. And how very right, he is. The original original pilot of RICK AND MORTY was title “DOC AND MHARTI”. Honestly though, as much as I love RICK AND MORTY, I don’t know how anyone saw DOC AND MHARTI and thought to throw money at this, but I’m glad that they did. I don’t feel like going into detail why, feel free to look it up on YouTube, and you’ll see what I mean.
It was proposed during the interview with LLoyd that he could play Rick’s father. He chuckled and said “that would be fun.” I for one would LOVE to see that!! Rick appears to have lot of complex issues with his father, as implied in the episode where we meet Unity during the episode “Auto Erotic Assimilation”. Unity is a hivemind that has enslaved an entire species, she is eager to please Rick and makes a reality out of whatever he demands with her powers. One of Rick’s demands was to make him look impressive to a stadium full of any man who resembled his father.
I could see Lloyd playing a crazier, more intolerable version of Rick that is his father.
LLoyd was also inquired about a possible BACK TO THE FUTURE 4, he said that it was the first time he had heard about it, but can’t say if it isn’t happening. If you’d like to check out the full interview, you can read it at Phoenix New Times.
