Freddy Beans here with a trailer for RZA’s next one CUT THROAT CITY.
And the return of Blade (Wesley Snipes) to boot, though I think I missed him in the trailer.
The plot looks to be a group of friends down on their luck deciding to commit a heist in, you guessed it, a casino during Hurricane Katrina. The politics at play here are obvious and the story will turn some off. I’m conflicted. Not about the righty-lefty stuff, about how so many friends from New Orleans speak without any sign of an accent.
Mr. Wu Tang Clan himself (RZA) only seems to get better with age. I like his willingness to dip into unsafe waters here.
He’s surrounded himself with a pretty great cast and the overall tone from that trailer has me wanting to see it.
Anyone else out there going to give this one a shot?
