Trailer makes it look like a lot of fun right?
Well the one minute clip I got takes that to darker bloodier levels than expected. Think RIKI-OH: THE STORY OF RICKY (If you haven’t seen that and you like gory movies, you’re missing out)
The scene is dark, grimy, and set inside a wall of spears and it’s unrelentingly bloody. Our hero Lutobor is battling this ogre of a man quite successfully.
Finally indulging in ripping the scene to a bloody arterial showered end. If this one keeps that pace up throughout I’ll have to add it to my favorites’ collection. It still needs some semblance of a story of course, here’s the synopsis.

A new era is about to begin in Eastern Europe. Scythians, the proud warriors, are all but gone and most of the few remaining descendants have become ruthless mercenary assassins. Lutobor, is a warrior who becomes involved in intertribal conflicts and sets off on a perilous journey to save his family. His guide is a captive Scythian who is his enemy, but they brave the treacherous wild steppes, moving toward the last haven of the Scythians, to what seems to be their inevitable demise.
THE LAST WARRIOR (originally titled THE SCYTHIAN) is directed by Rustam Mosafir in his sophomore effort. Vadim Golovanov and Rusam Mosafir wrote the screenplay. Aleksey Faddeev, Aleksandr Kuznetsov, and Yuriy Tsurillo star in this one arriving on VOD, Digital HD, and DVD/BD-on August 14th.
Anyone else feeling this?
I think the trailer sells it well enough. That clip though tells me it’s another film entirely! I hope this one doesn’t disappoint. From what I’ve seen in just one minute of time this will be a fun thrill ride of nonstop gore! I can’t wait!
