Hey folks, here's a trailer for Matthew Weiner's follow-up to "Mad Men", "The Romanoffs"!
Set to The Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairies from The Nutcracker, the trailer is more of a teaser, showing a hugely-talented cast, half of whom seem to be name-dropping their connection to the Romanoffs, the Russian royal family supposedly murdered to the last descendant in the Russian Revolution.
I am currently in love with the character here, when asked if she is related to the Romanoffs, snarks, "Everyone says that! But, no one... really IS..."
Amazon Prime describes it thusly:
From the creator of Mad Men, The Romanoffs is a contemporary anthology series set around the globe featuring eight separate stories about people who believe themselves to be descendants of the Russian royal family. Starring Aaron Eckhart, Diane Lane, Isabelle Huppert, Christina Hendricks, John Slattery, Amanda Peet, Jack Huston, Kathryn Hahn, Noah Wyle, Paul Reiser, Andrew Rannells and more.
"The Romanoffs" first episode, "The Violet Hour", premieres Friday. October 12th on Amazon Prime. Read more about it here at Variety.
