“Breaking Bad” fans will want to tune in to tonight’s superb “Better Call Saul,” which turns out to be a punishing installment for a major, and reveals the nature of Jimmy’s offer to Ex-Cop Mike. Kim Wexler’s client Kevin shows her something this week, and one can’t help but wonder how it will affect her relationship with Jimmy. To anticipate the question, Walter, Jesse & Huell do not put in appearances this week.
The more I see of AMC’s “Lodge 49,” the more I love it. It may look a little like “The Big Lebowski,” but it really has a lot to say about America’s current economic realities, as the decent-paying jobs in Long Beach continue to evaporate. Tonight a new waitress finds herself fleeing Liz’s place of employment while Dud floats into the orbit of a beaten-down human resources manager. Episode four is in front of me and I can’t wait to see where it goes.
