Hey folks, here's a look at Disney Channel's "Star Wars: Resistance"!
I can't really judge what I'm seeing here. It's for kids, not the young at heart. It's set in what appears to be the pre-Rey/Finn Resistance, and I do like the style of the animation... I remember feeling a disconnect with the Star Wars license the first time I saw RETURN OF THE JEDI. Harrison Ford hadn't yet made his 'teddy bear picnic' comment, but once he had, I never saw RotJ the same way again, and I finally came to terms with why it had been my least favorite of the original trilogy.. and actually began to enjoy it more.
For all the cool ships and aliens in this trailer, this show seems to have a similar message for me: this is not for you. I didn't get the same feeling watching "The Clone Wars" or "Star Wars: Rebels". That felt like it worked on many different levels. This feels like it's just for the kids this time... and that's okay. It looks cool, so I sincerely hope they like it!
