My oh my. I thought Mr. Mime in the DETECTIVE PIKACHU trailer was unsettling! Paramount pictures released some promotional videos and posters of the upcoming SONIC THE HEDGEHOG movie, and people are quite disturbed.

Just check out Sonic’s ripped legs. I understand that they’re trying to make him more realistic for a live action movie, but ya know...sometimes it’s okay to keep things a little unrealistic so we don’t find ourselves unnerved at our core by uncanny valley.
There was another poster released sporting a crotch of of Sonic overlooking the Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco. Alex Hirsch, creator of GRAVITY FALLS, amusingly weighed in on the crotch view. I really don't like the look of that "zoom line" between his legs...

WHY DOESN'T HE HAVE ANY SOCKS?
Jim Carrey is in this movie as Dr. Ivo Robotnik. He is only called Robotnik according to IMDB, sure that was the character’s name for a long time, but kids just a few years younger than myself (who are now in their late 20s) know him as “Eggman”. This could be incorrect, as IMDB isn’t always an accurate source as we’d like it to be.
