Hey Folks, Harry here... and finally something new that we've been longing for and a promise of things to come. Over at VANITY FAIR, that posh geek Andrew Breznican, has an exclusive first preview look at Paul Atreides on his home planet of Caladan, before his whole world has a cosmic shift and he's thrust into something no amount of training could prepare you for, but it doesn't hurt. This is, of course, Denis Villeneuve's DUNE with his star Timothée Chalamet.
You can head over to VANITY FAIR to read their initial preview report, but the best part is the promise of a much more extensive look at DUNE tomorrow... which makes me wonder... How far are we from seeing that first trailer!?!?!?!?
David Lynch's DUNE was always my gateway drug into the DUNE universe, devoured the novels after. I really want this to be magnificent ate every level. But as a first glimpse, there's an awful lack of color, and that's fine - especially for the tone that this moment in the film calls for. But I want this thing to knock our socks off. Fingers crossed for tomorrow's images!
