We will not be seeing Deadshot in SUICIDE SQUAD 2, at least not portrayed by Will Smith. Variety reports that he left on amicable terms, as he just couldn’t fit it into his schedule. IMDB says that he is working on BAD BOYS FOR LIFE, BRIGHT 2, AND BAD BOYS 4.
There is no word if this has anything to do with the controversial James Gunn who was signed on to write and direct the SUICIDE SQUAD sequel. As it is, Variety reports that no one was confirmed to reprise their roles for SUICIDE SQUAD 2 anyway.
Currently the sequel is still definitely happening. Gunn is hoping to begin production by this fall.
